Hi,

Is it possible to backup files on an NT system to a DLT tape
and then restore those files from a DLT tape onto a Solaris
system.

I anyone has done something similar, please let me know
how or what software was used.

Thanks

Are these two systems in the same network?
If so then installing Samba would be the best solution. With Samba, you can copy files to a partitian on a unix machine as if it was a windows disk.

If the machines are in different locations there is a program called wintar that runs under windows. This should allow you to transfer tar files between machines.
