Backup on hard disk

Is it posible to back-up using Backup Exec 7.X and put it on a hard disk rather that backup tape?

if im not mistaken, only Backup Exec Version 8 or later has the capability of that

I've been doing this, backups to a file on a fixed disk, for a while. I'm using v8.6 and it works great.

In fact this is a very cool method to back up. If you need to restore then it really quick. But I still back up my NAS Server to tape daily!

Dell and HP have some really good offers on for NAS Servers at the momment. (400gb for around £1800)

Only Backup Exec v8.6 can backup data to the disk.
