I'm working on a BCM 400 rel 3.6,everything is working fine ,however I'm trying to do a backup to my computer XP-SP2,with no luck I get differnt messages ,(error 67-the network name can't be found or the name can't be found )I 'm trying to use remote Drive. The local Drive works ok.The BCM its not on any network yet,its a standalone on small E switch ,with the IP address 10.10.10.1,sub 255.255.255.0,my laptop on the same E switch with IP 10.10.10.20,same sub.I tried with direct connection with cross over cable to Lan 1 with the same results.I know I'm missing something but I can't figured it out yet.any help or ideas will be great.

Try mapping to the IP address of the machine instead of it's name. It should work via name on the same subnet, but it doesn't hurt to try and see if your name resolution might be broke.

I already tried with both the name and the IP addres with the same results (error )and not working. There is any security issues or something has to be done on the BCM or my laptop in order for it to work,I'm kind lost on this one despite it should be very simple but the manual its not clear on this one.Any thoughts will be much appreciated.

Maybe check to see that your windows firewall is turned off since you have XP or see if your security software has a firewall that is turned on. Most XP machines have the firewall on by default unless you have turned it off.
