backup of virtual machines

Hello, I have a windows server standard 2008 SP1 with quite virtual machines (Hyper-v) and I have arcserve 11.5 SP4.

how can I backup virtual machines? Does arcserve have a virtual machine addon? do I backup VM with vss or standard file backup?

Hyper-V is supported with version 12.5 which is currently in beta.
