First let me say I am not an ArcServe expert. My question is, is it possible to somehow backup two servers (with gigabit network connection) without any additional costs (for more ArcServe agents). I need a solution til the end of the year when we will purchase additional tape device and software.
Our environment is: ArcServe v9, with agent for Open files.
I would like to back-up two Windows 2000 servers.
Thanks!

I forgot to mention we have one DLT 40/80 GB tape device.

You can backup the second server over the network (through the shares) so it will not cost you but this share backup is not System State aware.

regards

Another catch is that you'll also miss all the open files on the remote servers. They'll cause the backup to show as incomplete.
