Backup of long filenames

We have a NT Client and its SaveSet is very very long >255 characters

The Networker Server won't backup this directory.

Is there a solution for this? Or maybe a workaround?

The behavior may be slightly different depending on the version.

However, i think there can only be s slight difference of 1 or 2 characters if you compare this feature with the Windows capabilities.
