hi all.
I was wondering if anybody knows how to export the back up of hiapth 4000 v6.
i have backed up the system by using the menu back up and restore of assistant.
but the problem is i dont know how to have it on an external device such as a usb device.
i see USB and a SATA ports on DSCXL but i dont know how to use them.
would you please guide me in this regard?

Hi
The best backup is a Full REGEN
That will allow you to restore all the telephony to the time that Regen was taken.
To do a regen go to ComWin and

REG-ANUM;
STA-DEL::pAS:VEGAS/DATEI;
STA-REGEN:BITAPN,L31905QXXXXA00001,N,,,,,,ALL; (put in your ANUM number instead of the L31905QXXXXA00001)
When compelte go into file transfer (6th Icon from Left Hand Side on Comwin)
Click on the 2nd Icon down on the left hand side (A1H1F)
Find the L31905 Folder - go into that folder and you will find an 'ALL' File
Drag a copy out to your computer.
You can allow the HiPath to do a regen automatically by inserting the commands in the CRON AMO
Example:
ADD-CRON:1,P,0,4,*,*,*,"EXE-UPDAT:BP,ALL;";
ADD-CRON:2,P,10,4,*,*,*,"EXE-UPDAT:A1,ALL;";
ADD-CRON:4,P,30,4,*,*,0,"COPY-DDRSM:A1,1,E,1,J,N;";
ADD-CRON:5,P,40,4,*,*,0,"STA-DEL::pAS:VEGAS/DATEI;";
ADD-CRON:6,P,50,4,*,*,0,"STA-REGEN:bitpan,L31905QXXXXA00001,N,,,,,,ALL;";
ADD-CRON:7,P,0,0,*,*,*,"DIS-ZAUSL:BP,Y;";

To backup the Assistant you need to use SFTP (Download and install on your PC 'free SSHD version 1.3.0)
Go into SoftwareManagement/Backup and Restore
Set your Backup Server to be the computer that you have the SFTP/SSHD program running on
User name and password that you have set in the SSHD program
Set the IP address of your PC into the backup server.
Click configure and test - if all ok then go back to the Backup area and decide what you want to backup to your PC
using the SFTP
This will create a 000 folder on your pc with the items you backed up

thanks alot.
do you any other ways for back up?
i want to know the use of SATA port.
have you used it?

The SATA port is for to use another tray that fits in to an empty slot in the front. In that slot you have another hard disk. This is not connected to the backplane but has that SATA to SATA cable plugged in.
In the Portal/Assistant you can use that extra Hard Disk like the old MO/CF Disk

do you the number of it?
i mean how i can use it in amo ddrsm?

You set that up and use it in the 'Portal' which is accessed via the Assistant.
In there you can remove or put in drives (you need to do that before you physically remove or install hard drives)

could you guide me how i can activate it in portal?
where is it exactly?
and how i can activate and use it?
