Backup mirrored disks

I have a Sun 4500 Production server.
This server has 8 internal disks and 16 externel disks.
All the internal disks are mirrored including the root disk.

Problem:
Please let me the prcedure the take the backup the mirrored disks.The server is production server and has oracle databases.

Disksuite is installed in the server.

Please suggest is it necessary to break the mirror and re-attach after the backup is over or is there any other way.

please suggect ASAP.
