HI,

We have a IVS2 connected to a PRI.We want to be able to use regular analog line, if the PRI line goes down the backup line will take over. How can I proceed to do so.I have a card called PN-4COTB.Can I use this card to connect the line and if so how do I tell the PBX to take this line if no lines are available.

You need to create a second choice in LCR. Cmd 8A but it is not necessarily that easy. How proficient are you at Moc mode programming?

I get by.I've done a lot in MOC programming althought I've never used command 8A I'm sure I could do it with the right instruction.Am I at least on the right path when I'm saying that I will need card PN-4COTB?

Yes you need a COT card for your PSTN connections. You will need to programme up the lines and create a new trunk route for it/them. Then we will need to know where 9 is pointed to in Cmd 200 as this determines the entry point into LCR. I won't try and talk you through the line and route setup as things may be different there to OZ. But I'm sure someone here will step in if you don't know how.
