I know this is probably asked and answered by someone in this forum b4. But here is my problem.

I would like to schedule a job to run right after the first job is done and append to the same tape. I can create 2 jobs with different start time but sometimes the first job ran slow and the second job will get error.

help...

Hi,
I am not sure why you need two jobs instead of just having both jobs combined in one, but oh well ...
I would try to have the second job run as "post-job" of the first one, by writing a script that executes your second job via ca_backup.exe.
I have never done this, but maybe it helps.
