Backup job sit idle no activity

I have another issue with my second backup server, when I submit a job (any job except eject media or format media) the job sit idle and no error message or any status message which shows the job is running. When I look at the status it shows : Ready and Execution time shows : Run now.

How can I fix this.

If you are using Win 2000 give the permission for the arcserve account as per the URL,

http://support.ca.com/techbases/as2000/as2k-1500.html

If its NT

http://support.ca.com/techbases/as2000/as2k-1510.html

Then resubmit the jobs.

If you are submitting the job thru terminal services apply Sp4 for arcserve 2000 since the porblem was fixed.

Are you submitting the job to the server through terminal services or cytrix metaframe? If so and you are using ARCserve 2000 make sure that SP 4 is applied to ARCserve and all of its agents.
