Hi, y'all:

I am trying to backup a whole directory for a HP-UX 10.20 box which for some reasons cannot add a DDS tape drive attached to it from a Windows 2003 box which has a DDS drive attached. Anyone out there has experience on how to do that at night time without being interact with human hands?

Thanks!
Jack

If you don't physically have a DDS drive on the HP-UX box, I would suggest using SAMBA to create a "bridge" between the two. Your backup software should be able to archive the data found on your SAMBA "sharepoint".

Scanner hit the nail on the head. You will not be able to use the tape drive from a Windows Server unless you have some third party utility to share this out.
