Hi,

I'd like to modify the config of my PBX (Meridian Option 11C).
I am afraid to make an error during handling so I would like to backup the existing config.
I do not have PCMCIA cards and want to save the config directly on a PC via an Hyperterminal.

Please, could you tell me how does it work?

Thanks,

PF

If y'all are still out there, I can't find this post on pbxinfo.com. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thx...Jeff

you need the book (should be with your books that come with system) Customer Configuration Backup and Restore Guide - 553-3-11-330

Using Procom:

BACKUP:
switch protocol to xmodem
LD 43: EDD
LD 143: XBK
Press the recieve file button in Procomm
Follow normal saving procedures

FILE VERIFY:
LD 143: XVR
Press the transfer file button in Procomm
* This will compare the file you saved with actual config file

to upload new data to your system there is an other way too.
after you back up your data from ld 143,

at pdt side change the names of config.rec, config.bak, database.rec, database.bac.

and than upload tha backup file, than write xsl to syslod than write password,
after sysload system creates new config and database files than go ld 43 and write edd clr for two times.
thats all
