Our file server has 36GB RAID 5 reserved for users files that has never been archived so this area begins to fill up. As buying more disk is out of question, we need to free some space deleting the oldest files but we’d like to previously back them up separately.
The machine has a DLT III drive and the only backup software available is MS NTBackup (WinNT 4).
Our idea would be to backup all the files older than a date to be accorded and use the detailed log to create a script for deleting them.
Would it be possible achieve this in some way, or are other strategies feasible?

Thank you in advance.
