System is Mitel 3300 Cxi 8.0.5.12

WE have just taken over support for this site and I went to site to sort out some issues.
On arrival ( b4 making changes ) I successfully completed a backup.
The installer hadn't initialised the voicemail ( via admin mailbox so the voicemail wasn't working. I did this and allocated mailboxes to all users (8). I also created a new hunt group and changed some button programming.
Before leaving site I attempted to do another backup but it failed ?
There was a popup that displayed "unable to transfer file due to backup failure"

Maintenance Logs show this

any Ideas ? ,

My only idea was to reset the Mitel , but it seems a bit drastic and I dont want to upset the customer any further.

The voicemail does not work before you reset the controller
Maybe this is preventing you for backin up a database that is not correct (the voicemail does not work)

Out of my head voicemail port are asigned as 4150 supersets but i could be wrong

No I dont think its that, the voicemail ports were already assigned , Thats what requires the restart.the voicemail actually works.

I did read (here) that backup could not work when a voicemail port was on DND

Yeah I remember reading a post as well but i couldnt find it

If they are in DND how do I get them out of DND ?

Make a feature acces code for remove DND remote

example

*9 for remove DND remote and voicemail port 100

Then from a phone type *9100
then that port has no DND any more

Dial all your vmports to see if they answer

Ive still got a similar problem

thread :
havent been able to resolve and neither have mitel yet.
system 3300 mxe on rel 8.0.8.8
Mitels initially said there was backup issues on all rel 8 software
ive checked and all my vm ports are in service and idle.
Mitel are due to call me back anytime now so ill let you know.

Looks like a folder is missing. FTP into the controller and see if you can get to /vmail/d/vm/grp. Your log messages seem to indicate this folder is missing. If so, create it, and try again.
