Backup failure with no errors or warnings

We are running a new installation of Arcserve 6.61sp2 advanced edition. We backup multiple NT servers and also backup Exchange and SQL using the agents. For about the last week we have been consistently getting a "Backup Failed" message. When we look at the logs there are no errors, warnings, or skipped files. It shows that all of the backup selections were backed up and the size info written to the tapes is where it should be. We are scratching our heads on this one. Any ideas?

Stop the Job engine...
Rename the 0000001.qsd folder...
restart the job engine and reconfigure you r jobs...
