INFORMATION:
Novell 5.1
Backup Exec 8.5
Seagate Scorpion Autoloader
Situation: Friday, Saturday, Sunday backup uses the same tape over the weekend for an incremental backup. Friday backup runs fine; Saturday and Sunday has the error pasted below:
=====================================
Error on HA:3 ID:6 LUN:0 SEAGATE DAT 06241-XXX.
Possible corrective actions for this error are:
1.) Use a different tape
2.) Check the SCSI cabling.
Vendor: SEAGATE
Product: DAT 06241-XXX
ID: ??
Firmware: 8210
Function: Mount(19)
Error: Reset(8)
====================================
This error has happened two weeks in a row. It is running the same job, using the same tape, so what is different?
Note: when the Monday backup is used, all is well.
I administer this site remotely (there is tech help at the site), so I can't stroll over to view the device. Any advice, thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
