Backup Fails with TFLE PROGRAMMER ERROR 1

Running veritas backup exec v 9, and lately am getting failed jobs, it says "Final error code: a00084d5 HEX" and
"Final error description: TFLE_PROGRAMMER_ERROR1"

Has anyone seen this before or know what it is caused from?

That is a "misleading" error message.

It is reporting a unrecognized hardware error.

It can be driver related, problems with the controller or tape device or library.

Check your event log for hardware related errors. 7, 9,11,15's

Hope that helps.

The system event log has event id 11 "the driver detected a controller error on \device\scsi\adpu160m2". Have you seen this before?
