Backup fails and I can't view log file.

The backup starts and fails after 21 seconds. If I goto look at the log file, there is a message stating "Unable to access the log file associated with this completed job. The file may no longer exist or you may not have access rights to this file." I searched D:\Program files\veritas\backup exec\nt\data where the logfiles shpould exist and they aren't there. I tried creating a text file labeled "BEX00.TXT" to see if it would use it and it doesn't. Any ideas as to why this is happening?
 
Sounds like a permissions issue. Check that the BE services account has administrator rights.
