I am new bee, i have some question about the Compresse, i have DEll Poweredge Server, i am doing backup the tapes i have is 4mm DSS4 20/40gb, i have data around 30gb i couldn't do the backup on those because tape's are not that big, i don't want to do compress it any idea beside i divide the data into two partition. thanks for all your help

Get larger tapes?

Is this one file that you are backing up or is it several files? If it's several, you could change your backup to do part of the files to one tape and part to another tape (example: C drive to one tape and D drive to another tape, or C:\Program Files to one tape and all other C:\ files to a second tape.)
