Backup failing all the time. Please help 1

Will a backup fail because the tape drive needs cleaning?
Also I am backing up more and all say backup complete.
I have 23 pages of log files I can post if needed.

I've had the same problem once or twice.
It will indeed fail sometimes if the drive needs cleaning.
I usually run a cleaning tape through once or twice and that fixes the problem. If it doesn't I'd try another tape as a next step.
 
I had the same problem try turning on or off (depends on the current setting) the verify...

go to job definitions
click on your backup job..
click advanced
check / uncheck "verify after backup completes.."

it worked for me!
