backup failed ACS 7.0

The Display screens on extensions 10 and 11 say backup failed insert card- I thought the backup was internal on the ACS 7.0 and it didn't need a card

I tried to clear this with Feature #123 and tried all 3 options and it still appears.. anybody know why this is appearing or how to get it off? I guess I'll go by there and try to put a green backup resotre card in it so this message will dissapear.. Thanks, Kyle

When you turn on the Automatic Backup feature, you must specify the internal memory, or the optional external PC card. If you specify the PC card, and it is not present when the backup occurs, you get the error. Go back to the program code to turn on the back up (don't have the cheat sheet in front of me), and press 3 to clear the error display. Then set it to internal to get the backups working properly.

Thanks TTT ..I tried this, it is Feature code 123 and I pressed 3 to have it cleared accept it didn't clear and then I set it to 1. which said internal memory.. Phones still display backup failed

Hmmm, try #124, which is backup, and then 3.

Hi kurmann,
This doesn't sound good. Try a system restart as well. Never seen it before either.
Might want to save your translation to your PC before the restore in case the memory is corrupted. That way, you can just upload to the new processor if everything goes south.
