Hello,
We have one Backup Exec server running (with the Exchange 2000 Server Agent). It backs up among other things our Exchange 2000 server (including mailboxes). On another machine I installed the second Backup Exec server under the same service account as the first Backup Exec Server. I installed the Exchange System Manager. Now I'm trying to backup the mailboxes using the second Backup server, and it's not letting me do it. It's not acepting the existing service account mailbox name.
Should I create a service account for each Backup Exec server?
Should I install a Remote agent on the Exchange box again from the new Backup server (Exchange 2000 machine has one already).

All your help is much appreciated. Thank you,

Clair

Hello again,
Please disregard my previous post. Figured it out. Of course, there's no need for the second account. Thank you.

I have a similar problem, I have 3 Backup Exec Servers running at 3 different locations backing up 3 Exchange 5.5 servers. I am using one service account and have 3 mailboxes, one for each location. Location one is working fine and I am able to backup up mailboxes with no problem. Locations 2-3 I am unable to attach. What was the fix for you problems??
