Backup Exec Says Tape In Drive But it's Not

We have a dual drive Scalar 24 and use backup exec 11d.

Last weekend a tape got stuck in one of the drives and I was able to physically take the tape out of the drive, without too much of an issue.

Now Backup Exec is still showing this drive as having a tape in it and will not backup to it.

I have tried rebooting the server.

Shutting down the backup exec services and rebooting the Scalar and then starting backup exec services back up again. But this does not seem to have made too much of a difference.

I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Yes I tried this, but all it does when running the inventory, is to pull all the tapes into the second drive.

As a point to note, I can move a tape in and out of the drive via the commands on the Scalar

Ah - now I understand. I think there is an update in BE that allows it to see the Scalar properly and if it is the same issue I had there was also a BIOS revision for the Scalar as well.
