Backup exec hangs during backup selection on remote servers.

I have been trying to evaluate Backup Exec for Windows 2000/NT and have been having this problem. I have been searching for a solution, but havent found anything yet. Here what i have:

backup server computer
fresh install
win2k sp2 server
backup exec v8.6 build 3878 ( day 3 of 60 )

I have 7 servers in my domain (all win2k server sp2) and 5 work fine, 2 dont work at all. When i go to the backup selections tab and navagate my way to the 2 servers, it locks backup exec up completely. The other 5 servers work great. There is nothing out of the ordanary running on the two servers that inst running on the other 5. I have tried to connect with and without the remote agent. I have tried removing the Remote Agent and re-installing it. I have used local administrator and domain administrator user rights on the service...

I have searched veritas knowledge base and tried a few documents with no avail.

I have also installed backup exec on different machines with the same problem with the two servers, which would lead me to believe that it is something wrong with the 2 servers, but what.

I have started the agents in -debug mode, they dont report anything.

Any clues.

FYI:

I have figured out the problem. For some reason when i have MS SharePoint portal server client installed on my backup server it can't see the servers that sharePoint is running on.

This means that i am unable to backup my SharePoint via the Backup Exec client... I guess i will just make a at command to dump out the data and then back it up as regular files.
