Backup exec file types

I have a file in my catalog called besnmp.trc
. This file is currently at 383MB and seems to be growing. can anybody explain what this file is for and how to maintain it?

Sounds like it has to do with SNMP notification.

If you are not using snmp notification try going to the tools/notification setup/snmp tab and uncheck "send backup exec traps".
