I run a daily backup that is supposed to overwrite media (level NONE). However when I run the backup it gets nearly to the end (5-10% till completion) then it puts it on hold (failed). How can get I get backup exec to finish with a 100% backed up?
Any suggestions welcome.

Oops, spec is: windows 2000 server, Veritas backup exec 8.5, tapes Sony 12-24g, compaq tape drive.

Check the error log. Your job is likely holding on a network attach or log in to a program (Exchange or SQL). In addition, your jobs can fail in verification if you have one or 2 corrupt e-mails. Yes a few corrupt files can cause the entire backup to say it failed.
