We have two Novell Netware 5.1 servers running Backup Exec 8.5. One is the host, the other as an agent. The agent is ACCOUNTING. Last week, the ACCOUNTING server stopped showing up in the BE for Windows client AND the Netware client. The backup jobs are running but only 1 server is being backed up. The following error appears:
Unable to locate source path or file specification ++ACCOUNTING.Netware File System/Accounting/Server Specific Info:\*.* The device may not be available at this time , or support for this device may be disabled.
This is followed by 4 other messages saying the same thing about the :
++ACCOUNTING.Netware File System/ACCOUNTING/VOL1:\*.*
/SYS
/[Root]
.Novell Directory/ /.[Root]
/Schema
I bestopped and bestarted both servers. I rebooted both servers. I reinstalled BE on the main server. I reinstalled BE Agent on the ACCOUNTING server. Still, the agent server doesn't show up on the Update Sources List. When I hit F5, I can see the client look at the other server, but it doesn't find the agent there. Veritas wants me to call their support center and open an incident report ($) for additional troubleshooting. I just thought I'd run this by the Forum first and see if anyone had any other ideas. I'm still a newbie with Novell and Backup Exec. Thanks .
