backup exec 9.1

onstream di30 tape drive install fine in Backup exec but tape always shows as none.
attempt to back up and get message "insufficient online or nearline media is available to start job".
if I attempt to do a rename or erase I receive the message "invalid physical volume library argument".
It seems that the problem is the tape is not being recognized but how to fix this?

I don't know but just wonder if the tape drive works with other backup programs, eg Echo?

I don't think this error is with the onstream, check the overwrite and append protection in Backup Exec.

What version of BE are you using?
