Backup Exec 8.6 with HP Surestore 300st

I am running Windows NT Server 2000 with Veritas Backup Exec 8.6 with Multi drive and autoloader support I have connected 1 x Compaq DLT with 2 x DLT Drivers / 15 Slot Loader and 1 x HP Sure Store 300st 6 Drivers and 300 Slot autoloader, the Compaq works fine but the HP 300st I am having problems. Veritas sees all the drivers and the slots but when i run a job the status states that it is running but in the properties it states ROBOTIC LIBRARY IS BUSY can any one help?

- verify that its supported on the Veritas HCL
- filter the Event Viewers (system logs) for ID 7,9, 11 or 15's > if you are getting them, you have HW issues. If so , check this link:

- is the HP device LUN enabled ? What you also might want to do is check the Target ID's for the changer and tape units in the HP device > avoid ID 0,1 and 6 if you can, and make sure the changer has a lower priority than the tape drives ie. ID 3 would be lower than 4
