Right guys,
We have a complex Compaq server base that we use a Compaq tape array storage with 4 SDLT drives connected to a management server that has backup exec 8.6. The remote servers have all the usual remote backup agents and open file option installs.
The problem I am having is that we have scheduled backups to start at 23:00 and we have set the overwrite options to no protection and made sure that the prompt before overwriting is not selected. We have even added a registry entry that should allow the tapes to be overwritten without a user clicking on a response. But it still comes up for the warning message to be responded to by the user which is no good seeing as no one is around at the time....
We have asked our contact support for veritas for help and they seem to have a similar problem and we are waiting for them to give us a call back.
Has anyone else had this? And if so how the hell did you get round it?
Cheers for all help in advance.
Ginga
