Backup Exec 8.6 skipping files on Exchange 5.5 (Priv.edb & Pub.edb)

I having problems backing up the following files:

priv.edb, pub.edb, edb.log, and edbxxxx.log.

What do I need to do correct this, any help would be appreciated.

Do I need to install a server agent and a Exchange agent on my Exchange server or just an Exchange agent?

You do need the Microsoft Exchange agent for you to backup the exchange directory and information store. After this agent is installed, 2 of the backup selections will display "Microsoft Exchange Directory" and "Microsoft Exchange Information store", this will back up your Exchange Directory and your Priv and Pub Information Store. If you don't have these selections as part of your backup it is because you do not have the exchange aware agent which you will need to install.
