Hello, we are running Backup Exec 8.6 and have just started to experience a strange problem.
When starting any type of job: Inventory, Erase, backup, etc.. the job status is Queued. If you check the job log, the message appears:
"Unable to access the job log associated with this completed job. The file may no longer exist or you may not have access rights to this file."
NTFS permissions are fine, I did check that. One thing I am noticing is that the Device Job count has started over. Example: it used to say Device Job nnn where N is like say, 314 or something, it now says Device Job 001.
It sounds like the database that keeps track of the logs is corrupted because it wants to start counting from 000 again.
Anyone seen this problem? Or if not, does anyone know how to "erase" or otherwise clear the BENT logs so that I can perform backups again. I do not care about historical backup logs at this point, just that the servers are being backed up nightly.
Thanks in advance.
