Backup Exec 7.0 (error during backup) 1

During backups i frequently get a cyclic redundancy error and the backup ends. (This is new for me...thanks for the answers).

From my experience, if you are getting the error on different tapes (especially brand new tapes), it is a sign the tape drive is going bad. If it happens on one tape in particular, then most likely that tape is causing the issue. <br>

Try following the steps included in the article and see if that helps clear up the problem...Many times just an extra cleaning can clear up this issue.

cleaned it 4-5 times and the problem didn't reoccur since.
