Our Exchange backup job used to take under 4 hours and only once did go over that until......
We upgraded to vsphere4 in out VM environment and we also installed the latest windows updates on the same weekend. The exchange job ran ok on the friday night and then the windows updates were done on the physical backup server on the saturday morning, and then the delay began the next time the backup jobs ran. Other jobs have more or less got back to what they were except exchange. It now runs at 8 1/2 hours and occasionally runs under 4 hours like it used to. Firmware on the SAN, Symantec backup exec updates, reinstalling exchange remote agent have all failed to help.
Any idea's?
Thanks
Kris
