Backup Exec 11d: 640Bit Proccessor Type

Good afternoon Tek's, I need some help with the problem. I am trying to install our Backup Exec 11d on a new Dell PowerEdge 2950 server running Windows Storage Server 2003 64-bit. When i attempt to install i get the following error "THIS INSTALLATION PACKAGE IS NOT SUPPORTED BY THE 64-BIT PROCESSOR TYPE. CONTACT YOUR PRODUCT VENDOR". I called Symantec and Dell and they both say that Backup Exec supports 64-bit, any Ideas on the problem?

Yes you downloaded the 32bit package. Or you downloaded the 64-bit package and your running 32-bit OS

Hi Steveot, thank you. I knew that they had to have Backup Exec 32-Bit and Backup Exec 64-Bit. When i called their support they kept telling me that they only have 1 version that supports both 32-Bit and 64-Bit platforms. I found that strange, but i finally found the 64-bit version and everything is working fine. Thank you again for confirmation.
