Hi there,
I really hope you guys can help me. I have been looking at the Symantec forums all day trying to see if they can help. I have a full backup of my server and due to the fact that I am running out of room on my c:\ partition I want to restore the data to new disks (RAID) and increase the partion size.
I found an article on the Symantec website that says the following...
"The process is on page 183 of the user guide for BESR 2010;
To do the recovery to a larger drive, you simply delete the partition that is automatically defined, select the unpartitioned space to restore into, and use the option to resize the drive after recovery. The resize option is only available on unpartitioned space, that's why you need to delete the defined partition."
However, this is of course for BESR software and not for Backupexec 11.
So my question is, are the procedures for restoring the data onto a bigger drive and changing the drive partion sizes the same and if not, how do I go about doing this in Backupexec 11?
Thanks ever so much for your help
Kev
