Backup exec 11.5 media set not able to catalog in 12.5

I am trying to restore a single folder from a full backup job that was made in Backup Exec 11.5 from the Backup Exec 12.5 Admin console. We have inserted the tapes, run an inventory on them and cataloged them. When trying to select the folder for restore, only part of the files backed up from that restore job are available (unfortunately, not any of the files I need). Looking at the Media view shows that one of the 4 tapes looks normal, and the other 3 are showing as "Missing media label". I have tried to rename the media (not re-label). I have re-inventoried and re-cataloged them. Now when performing the catalog, it only runs for a few minutes and returns a Successful Job status and gives 0 byte count (usually meaning that the tape is already in the catalog). I have tried turning off media-based catalogs and then re-cataloging. I have verified that the Media Sets are the same in the old BE 11.5 and 12.5. I have moved the media from Imported Media to one of the Media Sets and associated it with that Media Set, still cannot get the 3 remaining tapes to catalog correctly.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
