Hello all

We wish to put on varitas on a SBS 2003 box running exchange and I would like some guidance on a couple of things

1) Does veritas backup Exchange CALs?
2) Which version would be recomended for this case

ta in advance

Purchaes the Backup Exec SBS 2003 license

This includes the server/exchnage/IDR/AOFO/ and SQL
SQL depending on if you running Standard or Premium SBS

The SBS license is cheaper than purchasing the agents seperately

Your Exchange CALs are on paper from Microsoft so they don't get backed up.

Xerox will back them up for you.

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

ta Zelandakh I thought so someone was telling me that veritas could not be installed on the sbs box because it does not back up the licences..........

I also had to clear that up because I was on the notion that purchasing licenses came on paper. They are then entered into the licensing tool in server 2003's control panel.

Ta very much again.....
