I noticed I have started getting these errors when my backup runs:
101105 1148 - Backup initial estimates: Total items: 208, Total size: 3582871 KB, nTotalItems: 208, nTotalSizeinKB: 3582871
101105 1148 - Rewinding tape ...
101105 1148 - VLTapeLocal::WriteTapeHeader 76 < 512
101105 1148 - Error writing setmark to tape, win32 rc=23, MAS rc=41827
101105 1148 - Could not format tape. Could not write tape header fails 41827
101105 1148 - VLBackApp:ositionForBackup. Could not format the tape. VLTape::TapeFormat returned 41827, errType = 3, errCode = 23.
101105 1148 - VLBackApp::BackupThreadWorker. The PositionForBackup function failed rc = 41827.
101105 1148 - Scanning for MMFS volumes ...
101105 1148 - Setting backup mode for MMFS volume 1
101105 1148 - All MMFS volumes returned to normal mode
101105 1148 - The backup of 'Full System Backup (CALLPIL)' failed.
101105 1148 - VLBackApp::CloseNetworkSession has been called.
Then I get the message stating "backup completed with errors". Do I need a new tape? A new drive? Nice that they tell you it failed, but dont really point you in the direction as how to fix it.
