Backup error using ArcServe2000 and Lotus Domino 4.6

We are using ArcServe2000 to backup a Lotus Domino Server.
We have Lotus agent.

Message error is:
"20011017 130126 48 E8604 Failed to start backup. (DBNAME=registrazione, EC=DBagent Error - (69) \""Read/Write error in named pipes.\"".)"

Please help!!!!

Try running the job without the Lotus Notes agent to see whether it is that causing the issue.

You could try setting a PRE backup operation that stops Notes, your backup works, and a post backup operation restarts Notes again. "It's true, its damn true!"

have you checked the free disk space of your notes server?and also the largest .nsf?

should be, largest .nsf < free disk space.
