Hi all,

Just curious to know if anyone has witnessed the following messages:

07/18/01 12:09:45 AM nsrd: media alert event: Jukebox `BADBOY' failed cannot allocate enough devices for specified volumes.

07/17/01 10:57:26 AM nsrd: media alert event: Jukebox `BADBOY' failed Deposited 4 cartridge(s), import ports are empty

I am quessing that the first message may have something to do with the number of save sets exceeding the maximum that the device(s) are set to.

I am guessing the second message is a "fluke" or "bug" or "informational" as the actual deposit does succeed.

Specific Info:

Compaq Proliant 1600
Windows NT 4.0 SP6a
Legato Networker 6.0.2

TIA

NetWoker 6.02 has a few bugs in it.. One causes messages and some false errors to get stuck in the "pending" section of the GUI. Another one is what you're reporting. If you call Legato for the fix, they can send you a new nsrd and nsrjb binary. I think the problem you're experiencing comes from the nsrjb command making a second call to the NetWorker server, and confusing it.

Good Luck!

ag100,

Thank you for your post, it is greatly appreciated. I only just received your reply this morning. In fact, I have received the "nsrjb.exe" from our support group shortly after posting this message in the forum.

Replacing the "nsrjb.exe" with the updated version has solved the above issue of messaged "hanging around" in the Pending Messages window.

Thanks again for your accurate reply!
