My Documents Folder/Backup Folder:

When I click a file in the backup folder I get this error message:

This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options in Control Panel.

Is this XP Home? If it is you may have to manually install the backup program.

Double-click the Ntbackup.msi file in the following location on the Windows XP Home Edition CD to start a wizard that installs Backup:
CD-ROM Drive:\VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP

In any case a backup file will need the program that created it to open it. If you have a backup program installed you will have to create the required association, as long as it was the program that created this file.
