Hey everyone,

I have a 3300 CX with two T1/E1 combo cards. The first card has a working PRI on it, full 23B+D. The customer got a second, partial PRI, 10B+D. The Telco says that the 2nd PRI is for overflow and a BACKUP D channel. I can't find anywhere in the 3300 system admin tool to program this. Looking at the docs and help files, it seems that you can program a backup D channel on an NSU. Does this mean that we can't on the embedded PRI?

You can't fix stupid...

But you sure can profit from it!

It's been my experience with MITEL pbx systems that if you lose the D channel you also lose all trunks in the same span as the D channel. I interpret that to mean you cannot have a T1 (or a fractional T1) and use it for channelized voice service without a D channel associated with each T1.

However, I've been proven wrong many times....

YOu can for sure on NSU, will need to check for the embedded.
