Is it possible to export from CE to backup the data (for reimport later in the event of problems)?

I read the CD document on disaster recovery, but
I don't really want to have another entire install of CE for backups - if something occurs, it is not going to hurt much to spend a day or two setting things back up. I thought I might spend more time reconstructing, but less $ licensing a backup server install.
It is my understanding that I would have to backup the frs input and output files and the APS system db.

I am running the free version of CE available w/cr9 advanced, so perhaps I am out of luck on the export capability.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi,
That is my understanding as well. Back up the APS ( ours in in Oracle so we export it every night and do a file system back up on weekends - how you handle yours depends on the database used) and the FRS structures..( Input/Output and all the subds. - if on Windows, schedule a backup job ( in Unix use cron) to run every night - place the backups on separate disk ( or, even better , a separate machine or CD-RW))..

This way you can create a new installation, copy the FRS structure, import the APS and you should be ready to go..

Be sure, if applicable, to back up any custom CSP/ASP/HTML pages used to call your reports ( Developers hate to rewrite stuff [smile] )

Haven't had much time to look at this until today. I am using the free CE that comes with CR9 and I'm not sure where on earth I would go to do an export...any ideas?
