Backup BCM 400 4.0 using Network Folders

Having issues trying to backup a BCM 400 4.0.

In Element manager... went to backup... then immediate backup...

Network Folder: \\ntl555\data (i also tried \\local\ntl555\data)
Username: ntl555
password: *******
Directory: (i left this blank)

hit backup... and get a response of Samba Transfer Failure...

What am I doing wrong... I can go to another PC and enter \\ntl555\data and get right to it...

You must be able to get to the folder using a local account. The way it has been explained to me, Samba may not recognize your domain. Set up a local account.
