As anybody already experience with the backupagent and freebsd 5.2. First I tried to install the be_agent.tar, but that doesn't support freebsd 5.2. Then I installed the nls_agent_262592.tar, but now I can't conect from my windows 2003 server with backup exec 9.1 to the freebsd.

thanks for any ideas.

best regards tschons

Hi,

so far we never managed to persuade BackupExec to work with freebsd. I starts the backup job but fails to finish...
That's why our fileserver now runs under Linux...

Have you tried the Linux agent using Linux bianary compatibility?

There are some people who've reported succes with this method. You may want to try you favorite search engine, if you can't find anything here.
