MIS
Am having issues using Arcserve 2000 with the Exchange Server agent.
Brick level backups work like a dream! Although from the reading here, seems not a good idea to base your recovery methods just on brick level alone.
Issue is: I setup a job, browse to the relevant exhange box (member server, nt4, sp6a, exch sp3), select the IS & DS (As well as brick level), schedule the job & run it. It runs without incident (apparently).
When I check activity log, there is no mention of the 'dbexch' session (only dbexch2 - ie brick level with a list of the mailboxes backed up). Also when I browse in the restore window to the exch server to check, I don't get the option to restore the IS or DS.
I have re-installed from scratch (both Arcserve & the agent at CA's suggestion), followed the instructions re permissions of the service account/mailbox etc. I have the SQL agent as well wich performs flawlessly. I had to do the re-install anyway as I'd run out of space.
Is there something fundamental I'm missing here?
