I was backing up some workstations (Win 95 + 98) using backup exec onto my NT server.
To do this I needed to load backup agents onto each P/C so the server could identify them.
We have now upgraed the P/C's to Windows 2000 but the backup agent is not compatible.
Is there a Win2000 agent anywhere that I can download as I cannot find one on the Veritas site or anywhere else??

I take it that you are talking about W2K Professional.
In that case, you need to install the remote agent.
Just run the setup of Backup Exec again and select the option to install the remote agent on a remote machine.
You don't need a license for Workstations. If you want to backup a remote server, you need to purchase a license for the remote agent.

Move all data from workstations to server, create relevant shares and assign permissions to keep data separate. Run login scripts to point user drives and set default directories in Word/Excel etc to new drive mappings.

Now all data is on server. Back that up. What else is a server for????
