What are the items listed under Connections, and what purpose do they serve?
I have attached a screen shot. Inside Backup Agent Admin, under Connections, I have four items listed. The screen shot shows the a start time of 6/20/2008. It has been running for four days, and only reached 6%.
I stopped and restarted the service, and this killed the first two (they show as red). What brought my attention to this is the backup jobs will show failed, even though it shows to be backing up 4.9 Gigs?
*One* of the error messages that I am getting is "Backup server TCP reconnection timeout. (AGENT=IP address (servername (same IP address)), Network Error=0x274c). I changed some settings as instructed by CA document ID: TEC266855 I'm really not even sure if changing the above settings are related to my issue?
**Also**, I am backing up a file server on the same subnet, with the same client, and it has no problems with communications.
Obviously I would much rather see incomplete status instead of failed? I know asking for a complete status just takes some fine tuning.
Here are my specs.
Server agent is on:
2003 Ent Ed SP2
Agent is r11.5 SP3 (4402)
MS SQL Server 2005
Server Backup Software is on:
2003 Standard Ed. SP1
BrightStor ARCserve Backup r11.5 SP3 (4402)
